The pole of our scratching post had quite worn out on the top two-thirds and our kitten didn't like using it anymore, moving on to our furniture! Couldn't let that happen of course! Since we paid quite a lot for this scrathing post when we got it nearly two years ago and really like the style of the thing, I didn't quite want to replace it. I first wanted to try making it attractive to our kitty again. I shelled out 4.97 for a package with two balls of sisal rope (I didn't even use half a ball, so cost-wise, definitely worth a try!) and set to rewrapping the pole.

My "before" picture turned out too shaky to see what state it was in, so I'll just show the finished pole.

Sputnik is showing renewed interest in the pole, so I hope our furniture is safe again Smiley

Thanks Smiley The operation also proved to be a succes, our cat is using the post frequently every day, and I wrapped it tight enough for the rope to stay in place. No unraveling  Grin

Very nice! You'd never notice any difference. Glad your cat and furniture are at peace once again  Grin
