I have been wondering about getting one of these to make sticker backed paper for die cutting more intricate shapes like letter shapes and thinking that it may be easier than trying to apply a glue runner afterwards, especially if it is to thin delicate paper that when cut, may be too delicate.  I was just wondering if anyone has experience with these ones and their pros and cons - I was thinking of either the XRN510.  I don't want a large machine due to storage, but was thinking the smaller ones would be too small.

May depend how delicate you're talking about.  I have a few different sizes of machines.  Have done regular paper and card stock without any trouble.  I think I have maybe had one piece to bend when it was going in, but think it was my fault for not being more cautious with it going in though.

Well, Michaels had their 50% coupon last week and they had the 5" Xyron, and at 50% off it was cheaper than the cheapest price I found on line w/ shipping, so DH picked it up for my birthday - So far so good Smiley

God luck with it.  It's been a lot easier for me with intricate Cricut cuts especially.  I have lucked into finding a couple of my extra machines at thrift stores...even refills now and then when I've been lucky!

Just make sure to check to see how much, if any, has been used first.  Or make sure some idiot hasn't pulled it all apart.  Have found that too.  Sad
