Here's a little tower I made for Colorado Deb in the Favorite Book Swap Rd 2.  My favorite book which I sent her was "Titus Groan" and this tower contains some descriptive quotations from the book on the walls of the five separate rooms.

Made of toilet paper tubes, natch!  Smiley

Ok now I am sulking! How does someone as talented as you at embroidery also have tremendous talent at other crafts? NOT FAIR! (If you haven't gathered I love it!)

I love Titus Groan! All of Gormenghast is great, but the first book is the best. The tower is brilliantly simple.

Thank you!  I know there are a few other Gormenghastians here on Craftster.  Maybe we should resurrect that swap one of these years....  Cheesy

Thank you!  It was so much fun, I think I'm going to have to make at least one more for myself!  The stones are egg carton.  Smiley

I love your tower.  How high is it? I really like the way the quotations inside can only be seen when you peer through the windows.

Thanks!  I forgot to measure it, but I think it's 10 or 11 inches high. Smiley
