Here's a little embroidered felt cake I made for Colorado Deb in the Favorite Book Swap Rd 2, my favorite book being "Titus Groan."  For this project I learned the technique of Casalguidi, which builds up a thick rope of stem stitches.  Here it represents the letter "S" in sugar cream on Swelter's calling card:
