I received too from Frosty772 and I love it. So me. What is so funny is I almost sent her a variation of the same base item. Pics to come tomorrow as well before work. Can't express how much I love this.

The pear bird reminds me simultaneously of TicToc and Bubo.   Smiley

Yes, you're exactly right! Bubo especially! (For those too young to know the original "Clash of the Titans" movie - not the more recent boring remake - Bubo was a mechanical owl. A rather pear-shaped one.)

Glad to hear my package got there so fast, SheepBlue. I hadn't expected it to arrive for a couple more days.

The time has come
The walrus said
To talk of many things-
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax-
Of cabbages and kings.
And why the sea is boiling hot
And whether pigs have wings.

I'm so glad you liked it!  I had fun making it.  It was challenging and I had to toss several ideas away and come up with new ones but I enjoyed trying out something new and looking at every day objects to see how I could use them as art.

And here is my stunning piece from geekgirl1000100:

I love love love my pear birdy! It is in a place of honor on my swap items shelf. Thanks Smiley Hope you will like yours just as much.

I bought some cheap older clocks at a thrift store and the gears were all plastic.  I have some of the tiny ones too.  I gave up and just bought the decorative Tim Holtz ones at Michaels.

where the heck can i findgears that thick! all i everget are tiny ones from in watches. are the big ones in older clocks or somethin? i'm always lookin for those lol

Behold the wonder that is Wulf!!! He mentioned in PM that his creation was taking a bit more creepy vibe and I was slightly worried but it is so creepy in the best kind of way! Ooh the weathering!

Close ups!

I imagine that this little guy is a doomed prince locked away forever...see his crown?

A sweet little bird found a home in the most unsuspecting place.

See all the little things hidden under the skin?

What is behind those doors..........

Ack!!! Creepy doll head! Look at the background too! Those are real veins hanging down and a sinister looking skull in the corner. I'm glad I can hide it behind the closed doors if need be, baby doll heads are kinda creepy to me haha.

More awesome weathered staining!

Thank you so much Wulf! I will treasure this forever!
