My son and daughter decided he wanted to have a minion party this year.  So I had to do a sculpted minion cake. Here he is.

I used 4 8 in rounds layers and one layer I baked in a glass bowl for the top.  I put a board and supports inside before I started icing it.  His arms and legs are all made of fondant.  I also made two little side cakes with the kids names on them and a bunch of mini minion cupcakes.  I did half of them like the little purple ones from the new movie.

I had a blast making this cake and it was a hit at the party.  C&C welcome

Love it, I tried making a cake on the weekend with fondant and it's not the easiest.
A suggestion for the arms and legs, you can make them out of rice krispy, then cover with fondant instead of doing them all fondant.

Thanks for the great comments guys!

And dfabbric I love using rise crispies in cakes too but I was really tight with time so I went with the fondant this time  Wink
