Nearly forgot to post in here too... I'm home with some kind of respiratory infection so I've amused myself with some pinning and pintrest cleaning while I lounge on the couch. I've tried to make sure my pins are linked to the original source or pattern and not to random blogs that borrow/steal/link pictures from other sources.

I'm a bit confused by blogs that take pictures from other blogs/tutorials, put them together as a big picture and then make their own blog-post with it. Sure, the bigger picture will look better on pinterest, but why not make something original instead?

I've had a lot of help from this bookmarklet: http://jarred.github.io/src-img/ It's quite handy for figuring out pins I've claimed too Cheesy

I've collected some tutorials or simple pictures to my blog, as inspiration, and as some simple note to myself. But I did not pinned them to Pinterest myself, I don't know if someone else did it...

That makes sense, to use it to keep track of inspiration. Those I found that made me wonder were put together as a tutorial, but with the original pictures edited a bit. They had linked back to the original place they found it, but it still made me wonder...

For some of the pins I checked out there were several blogs in the "chain" that I tracked back through. One original, one with edited pictures + same info as the original (minus the rest of that blog post) and then several with just the picture. It's like the whisper game. The further you got from the source, the worse directions for the craft... Tongue

I'm just at the tail end of a respiratory crap/sinus thing too! I hope your's goes away sooner rather than later!!!

I have been pintrest obsessed lately, but have actually been making things from my pins too. That's why I love this swap - it motivates me to use my pins when I am making something from someone else's pins Smiley I try to connect the pic with the original tute too! I hate when you have to click thru 5 different posts just to find a tutorial!!

I'm totally craft hyper now....went trolling pinterest for some interesting things and somehow got motivated to make my daughter's turtle quilt while I'm finishing up the last items for my last claim =D then to hell with it, I'm totally jumping in this one too....got my box of melon pan, melon n ginseng ramune, and my awesome bags of konpeito *is in japanese treat heaven over here!* maybe its just the sugar overload from the konpeito (plus the fact that I ACTUALLY have some!!) but yep, I'm in total-craft-mood-overload! yayyyyyyyyyyy craftiness! *laughs evily*
