Signups are now closed. The sooner I get your top picks, the better Smiley

You can send me your top picks list anytime between now and Oct 9, 6pm eastern but no later.

You can send 14 favorites if you are offering 8 items, and 10 favorites if you are offering 4 items.

Do not send me preferences, you will be sending those to your partners once you are matched.

And if someone's offering looks like this: "Ninaprettyballerina [4/4] - 4 chirpy AND 4 starry fold" It means Ninaprettyballerina is offering 2 separate items, so if you want one, or both items you have to put them on your list separately.

If you want to save me time, you can send your top picks in this format since I have to put them in this format before matching anyway.

When offering 4 items, you send me your top 10 items in the order you like them like this.
1. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
2. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
3. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
...etc to 10 items...

if you are offering 8 items then you pm me your top 14 items like this
1a. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
1b. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
2a. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
2b. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
3a. (YOUR USERNAME) USERNAME OF PERSON OFFERING ITEM - NAME OF ITEM YOU LIKE
...etc...3b, 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b(your 14th pick)

I must receive all top pick lists no later than Oct 9, 6pm eastern

any questions, let me know!   Smiley

I'm a little confused about the numbering. Why are they listed 1,2,3,etc. for four item people and 1a,1b,2a,2b,etc. for 8 item people?

That's the system I use to assign partners. It's kind of hard to explain, but it is the fairest way I could come up with to assign items.  It gives people who are offering more items a teeny, tiny slight advantage over items they have very high up, but it offers people offering less a teeny, tiny advantage on items they have lower on the list.  For instance, if someone offering 8 items has the item listed as 1b on their list and someone offering 4 items has it listed as 2, the person with 8 items will get it. It's a way to break a tie breaker.  But if someone offering 4 items has something on their list as #4 and someone offering 8 items has it on their list as 2b which is also their 4th choice, the person offering 4 items will get the tie breaker.

I'm also really confused and I'm afraid to say your clarification makes me more confused sorry, other than numbers I can't see any difference in your example. First example they both have it as number 2 and second 4 on the list?! Should all the a's be item choices 1-5 and all b' s 6-10? I am just about to send mine through numerically (ie 1b is my second choice), but if that is not right could you please let me know!

Feline2001, if you are offering 4 items this is how your choices rank:

1 - your top pick
2 - your second pick
3 - your third pick
4 - your fourth pick

If you are offering 8, this is how it goes:

1a - your top pick
1b - your second pick
2a - your third pick
2b - your fourth pick
3a - your fifth pick
and so on.

Does that help?   Smiley

Gator's numbering system works really well and generally people get quite a few of their favorite picks.  Sometimes something will be REALLY popular though and not everyone can get it.   The way she numbers things she is just trying to be most fair to everyone.   Smiley

ps - I like your ornaments too!   Cheesy   And if I get them, I am asking for glitter!   Cheesy

Okie doke! Thanks for the explanation. I'm not sure I quite understand but I suppose I don't need to. Smiley
