I love the way embossing looks, but I don't feel I use it enough in my projects. I recently took my Spellbinder's Artisan X-plorer out for a spin, and here's what I came up with. I love these bookmarks, because they're so quick and easy to do. Guess what everyone's getting in their stocking this Christmas? Cheesy

I cut large paint chips down to bookmark size, and then used the Keys embossing plate for the grey card, and the Gray Works One Texture Plate for the pink card. The plates are approximately 4" by 4" square, so I ran each paint chip through the Artisan X-plorer twice to fully emboss the paper. These bookmarks feel fairly thin after embossing, which I personally like, but if you like a sturdier bookmark, you could always mount the embossed paper on cardstock. Once the embossing was done, I punched a hole in the top and reinforced it before threading through some baker's twine and hanging a small charm that went well with each of the embossed patterns.

I like the look of rounded corners, so I used a corner punch on them, but square corners work just as well. What page are we on?

They'd be really cute gift tags, too.  Naturally, I'd put one around the neck of a bottle of wine and call it a day. Cheesy

I love that idea, but when I went to the local Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart, they didn't have the long rectangular paint samples...only square shaped ones.  I was very sad.  Tongue
