Spellbinders has done it again! They're carrying oval hatpins with matching dies, so using the Artisan X-plorer, you can cut images to fit within the pins. It's a perfect fit every time!

Here's a couple of pins I made, using their Ephemera Paper Three pack, and the corresponding dies.

The pin on the right is a collage cut from a couple of sheets of paper from the pad and then enhanced with a little glitter around the edge and the word "dance", cut from an old dictionary. Look how cute it looks on the lapel of my winter coat!

The image for the other pin is simply cut out from the one of the sheets of paper. I have a great trick for choosing what area to cut for the best results: take a sheet of solid colored cardstock and cut holes in it using each size of the dies. Use these holes to frame your subject and see what looks best in the space. Move your frame around until you are happy with what you see.

In this photo, you can see that if I want the legs to be at the top of the frame, there's not enough of the blue pattern to cover the entire background. I ended cutting out a solid area of the blue pattern, and then cutting out the legs individually so they could be placed where I want them.

Here's one of the pins accessorizing a scarf. Fun stuff!

Wow, I love that they are cut to fit perfectly.

And great timing for Autumn, too!  I just took out all of my scarves, sweaters and coats this weekend.

So pretty! I used to wear stick pins, but after a while I could never find the piece on the bottom to secure them. Always seemed to lose it.

That is a super cool idea - I think they would make adorable shawl pins!

I love this project, as well. Wonderful job. And the ideas from other members about modifying the pin point cover are great, as well. Jujubees! Who would have thought?
