I made this last summer and it is my favorite dress I have ever made. I used the dress pattern 125 from november burda 2007, this pattern is just perfect: it has adorable little sleeves with gussets, and a very flattering neckline with pleats at the arms, so feminine and retro!! The pattern called for a petticoat but I didnt add it because I wanted to reduce the vintage look. I used a stretch satin with a snake texture (it isnt visible at the photos but it is very pretty).

I agree with Beag!  It is very flattering and looks comfortable...what an unusual fabric as well.

BeaG, alwaysinmyroom and Midnight Sun thanks a lot from the amazing seamstress:-*.  Thanks very very much Clare-Dragonfly!  It would be very versatile if it wasn't satin: it is too shiny (much more than it looks at the pictures) and it can't be dressed down:(
