So I finished my brooch bouquet that plagued me for a few months. When it was finished, I had about 70 brooches, and several rolls of floral tape, and sore hands and arms. But it is so worth it! Most of the brooches were purchased in lots on ebay, some from thrift stores, and one that my grandmother gave me to include. I shaped the brooches around 3 stems of fake hydrangeas to help keep the dome shape and fill in any spots where wire would be visible. Finished off with satin ribbon and pearl pins, and the final touch was a photo charm I had made with my grandfather's picture. He was my dad in so many ways, and now he can be there to walk me down the aisle <3

I am not always a fan of broach bouquets, but yours is really pretty.  You did a great job of keeping the "bouquet" shape and the charm with your grandfather's picture is really sweet.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Gorgeous! I love all the teal brooches! I had such a hard time finding them in that color!
