DIY revolution
« on: September 19, 2013 06:59:59 AM »

I made this cute little skirt for a 4-year-old girl I take care of and threw in a matching headband with a bit of leftover fabric. The green and white chevron was actually a flannel receiving blanket of my son's, and the red was just a bit of wide ribbon I've had forever. I covered the button for the headband with a self-cover button; the red button I made of polymer clay ages ago and it's been waiting for a use. I got the idea/technique for the flowers from the show Sewing With Nancy- go to nancyzieman.com and the episode is Fabric Flowers, Part 2. (Holla if you watch Sewing With Nancy! Anyone?)

Her birthday isn't until December, but I got the idea and was afraid I'd lose the inspiration.
On to pictures!
