Some of you may remember this thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=424212.0#axzz2ePJLYxK3 where I was posting pictures of skulls I was embroidering to put together as a quilt for my son.

Well....I've finished...mostly! I've got a few finishing up touches, but it's done. It's not perfect, but it's made with love.  It works out to a little smaller than twin sized, but that's ok. No big deal. Each skull has it's corresponding animal name and scientific name to it's right/left.

This was really fun to make, but I am so glad it's finished! I hope to give it to  my son soon. I had wanted it finished before his birthday, the end of Sept. He needs a twin bed, and ultimately, I'd love to surprise him with the bed and comforter, but we'll see.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you so  much for the compliments. I finally gave this to him a few days ago, and he seems to really like it. I think he's too young (turning 6 on Tues) to "get it" as in the work and love, but he has slept with it, and played with it.
