By the way, what's the color/brand for that dark purple? Purple is my favorite color and I am in love with that shade!

That's Loops & Threads Charisma, "DK Purple".  It's a Michael's yarn.

It IS possible to get addicted to a pattern, but I see nothing wrong with that! Those are really nice and personal stockings rock! I've wanted to make big stockings for a while, and this inspires me to add it to my queue.

I'd wear a stocking for a hat. It's cute and different. Everyone else will be wearing Santa and elf hats but you'll be rocking a stocking! Grin
