My daughter loves Adventure Time.  She watches our two videos non stop until I turn them off.  Last spring, she asked if I could make her a Finn hat after seeing one at the store.  This started a crafting spiral which led to the drafting and construction of green backpack and a lot of hollering while trying to resize a hat pattern I found online.  Of course, she also needed an epic sword, because what is Finn without his sword?

Here is the tiniest Finn in all her tiny glory

The hat is white fleece.  I couldn't find the right colors for her backpack so I used wonder under to fuse the green broadcloths to white twill so that her backpack would be sturdier.  It has a button flap, but I really wish I'd just sewn a button on the front for looks and put a zipper in the top.  The whole thing keeps flopping open, but it's good enough to haul around her fairies and a couple of coloring books.

Her shirt was purchased at Hobby Lobby and the sword is a combination of foam core board, cardboard tubes, styrofoam balls, mod podge, elmers glue and craft paint.  I had the most fun making the sword Cheesy  It's nice and light so that she can swing it around easily but it still gives a nice oversized look Smiley

Now, onto Princess Bubblegum!

Her dress is a pattern I"ve made several times before.  I made an Alice in Wonderland dress and a Rapunzel dress.  It's a perfect princess dress because of the enormous poofy sleeves Smiley  Her crown is felt sewn onto extra stiff interfacing with craft wire up the front to help the crown stand up (it kept flopping over otherwise)  I made a tiny peppermint butler to go along with it since every Princess needs her butler.  He's just a two dimensional felt plush.  I used the pattern from this great instructable!http://www.instructables.com/id/Peppermint-Butler-Candy-Bag/
