I'm participating in the Harry Potter Craftalong, and I thought I'd show my house pride with a chainmail bracelet in the Ravenclaw colors.

It's made of aluminum and rubber rings in the Half Persian weave.  This is a reasonably simple weave, so I thought it would be as easy to join up the two ends as it was to make the middle, but for some reason it was not.  I tried six different times to get the placement of my last two rings right.  I finally had to wrap the bracelet around the TV remote and tape the ends down so I could get everything arranged properly and place those last two rings just so.  But now it's seamless!

It's so pretty! Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but is it stretchy?

I like the mix of material in this piece...the shiny of the metal combined with the matte finish & color of the rubber rings is great!  Wink

Thanks, everyone!  Smiley

It is stretchy!  I used rubber rings so I wouldn't have to worry about putting a clasp on it.  It stretches enough to go on my wrist, but not so much that it's loose and annoying.
