I couldn't really find a better place to post this, so I'm posting here. If there is a better location, please let me know. Smiley

For the past 2.5 years I've been addicted to tatting lace. And for the past month, I've been addicted to this project. A tatted lace doily made using The Clover Doily pattern. At 9 inches across, this is the biggest thing I've ever tatted.

I really enjoy taking something ordinary, almost boring, such as a doily, and modernizing it through the use of bold colors.

Check out my blog to see the entire process (well, most of the rows). http://modernlyvintage.com/my-biggest-tatting-project-the-clover-doily/

Thanks for looking!

Stunning!  You must be incredibly patient to make something so complex and delicate.

That is lovely. The colors are a really nice addition. And I love the "in process" pictures on your blog!

A lovely modern take on this old skill, it looks like a lot of work and love went into the making of this doily.

Wonderful work!  Personally I think it should go in the Needlework forum. (where the best people hang out   Wink  )
