I have always have been fascinated with dolls with darker skin tones. When shading with the pencil, you actually have to work backwards and put in the highlights and then add all of those colors that the eye can see, but can only detect as colors when you are trained as an artist. I used blues and purples on Peppermint's face. He's made with the same pattern as the other elf dolls I've made recently.

His hair is a cap of crocheted yarn that has been combed out.

Your use of color is lovely.

I have boxes of vintage piano music.  Some as old as 1890's!  PM me if you'd like some!
