I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Thank you all! Grin
Courtneykilledit had suggested she would like something fun. So, I thought about it, and found many ideas that I kept changing for a new one until I had the idea of an Halloween cat automata. He is made of wood, as most of the mechanism and the pumpkin mask is made of paper mache. I will post a topic about it in the next days if you want to know more about it.
It is perfectly fair to call it a toy. I love toys and games too!

YES, please do; it is such a fantastic creation. Love it!!

I am in loove with Rupert!!  The details on him are out of this world. I love that he ties onto that plaque for display and his outfit is perfect.

The altered book is beautiful!!  So many layers, I just keep staring at it in awe!

That pumpkin head cat is insane!! I can't even fathom how you did that, amazing!!

The little goblins in Jersey may have kept my package from Mellifluous hostage for a few days but it has finally arrived and I am thrilled to pieces!!
Be prepared to be jealous of this box full o' awesome I received!!

The first thing I saw when I opened the wrapping was this beautiful stitched crow with a red bead eye and it says it's my parlour!!

Here's a shot of the wonderful details on the back. Little keys and covers of actual penny dreadfuls! Plus that rabbit skeleton which I love!

I am completely blown away by the inside!!  Look at this!!!!
On the left is all sorts of goodies... A Siamese twin skeleton, the Fiji mermaid, skulls and skeletons galore, plus my initials all on top of pages from books of medical info and definitions.
Then on the right stands Mr. Edgar Allan Poe himself next to a skeleton, holding a skull and with a creepy human skull/animal body pet at his feet. Framed bats, Medusa head and a boy standing next to a dog-headed man all finish the room off perfectly...

Look at this gorgeous little table and lamp with tiny jars!! One has "The Hand of Glory" and the other "Fred" inside!  Grin

Mel spoiled the crap out of me.  As if my own little parlour wasn't enough, she sent me a CD of 1930s Halloween music, dice with skulls, Ouija board mints, little halloween rings and...

On top of ALL that she knit me the softest, warmest orange & black scarf!!! (Please excuse me, I've been home sick all day and that's my sick face and PJ's.)

I am so, so happy with everything Mellifluous has sent me. She took so much time to really make things I love. I feel so lucky!!  This has been one of the best swaps I've EVER been part of. Not only did I get spoiled with Halloween goodness, I've made a really great friend in the process!!  Grin

Oh my gosh! What an awesome package! I love the crow!

RE: the cat automata. I have no idea how she managed it either. Looking at it closely, it was fairly simple, but I'd have never, EVER thought of that. My brain just doesn't work that way! I showed it to my dad and he nearly pooped his pants he was so impressed.

This swap has been seriously awesome all around, guys. These are amazing packages!

Wow,  the cross stitched crow is fantastic! The background design that repeats on the wing is a wonderful idea. The inside of the parlor is very interesting too. There is much to look at, my favorite is the tiny lamp. The scarf looks so soft it almost makes me wish for cold weather. Did I mention how I like the embroidery?

Thanks everyone. This swap was fun to craft for and I'm so glad everything came out as well as it did. I appreciate the comments. Cross stitching is really my line but I did my best on the altered art aspect. I loved that pic of Poe when I found it, and Pennydreadfull is a Poe lover too, so I knew I had to use that. The yarn for the scarf is so soft! I wish it got cold enough here to use something like that, but it's usually still 80 degrees at Halloween.

I'm thrilled Pennydreadfull likes everything. That's the best part of all!
