You do such a good job on these.  I love the little unexpected treasures, like the cat in the corner.  So with no more Dollar Store mirrors, is this your last project like this for a while?

Thanks! And, I have some other types to work on. A couple of small ceiling medallions plus makeup mirrors, a great find from the Habitat Restore that's going to be a big project, makeup mirror + fluted charger plate from Goodwill, and right now I'm working on something funky with an odd piece of circuit board!  I haunt thrift stores. Cheesy
Plus, I have a stash of water pistols and such waiting to become rayguns, too.
I'm going to be busy.^_^

This one reminds me of Mardi Gras for some reason...lots of beads and bright bold colors!  I love how you arrange all the parts...love your busy bee self! Grin

Thanks,always!
I prep the mirror frame first, paint if it needs it.
Then, I get out the larger pieces-earrings,brooches,ect.-and fiddle around until I have them laid out where I want them. Glue them down.E600. Get out my stash of strings of beads, broken necklaces, ect.  For these frames I ran a string of beads along the edge between the mirror and the frame. Then, I tried out different ones looping around the larger pieces. I used a long strand that had all the colors in it. Got it how I wanted it,  glued it down. For this one I also used the rest of the strand of the same black beads lining it on the left, and a broken gold chain on the right.Glue. Then, dug out my beads, got out every color that could work, and narrowed down my choices. Glued down the larger beads first. Then, slowly filled it in all over with the small ones. Carefully spread glue in a small space, fill, repeat.Used a pin from a broken brooch to place most of then so the holes mostly weren't showing.
I had a tube of tiny, gold glass glitter beads, gently tapped a bit on before I moved to the next section.
Then, the fun part. No matter how careful I am,there's glue strings and the occasional blob. Use a toothbrush, nail scissors, tweezers and my fingernails to clean it up! Inevitably that means a few beads are pulled loose. I reglue them when I'm done, and check for any spaces to be filled in.
Then, sealer on top! It's something extra to help hold beads in place, as well as a nice shiny coat. For these, I used Ailenees Jewelry and Pendant gel, squirted on a little at a time and applied with a small paintbrush. I've used other brush on sealers, but that's my current fav.
That's the process!

I think this one is my favorite, probably because of the cat in the corner.

My sis gave me a box of cat pins she doesn't wear anymore. Honestly, I should do a just cats mirror to use them up! Grin
