This is the first that I've posted in an actual thread. I've been posting in the Newbie craftalong, but I think it's pretty safe to "fly" out into the world
A friend of mine wanted something a little different to decorate her store. I had started a bigger one, and she liked it! So she and her son asked if I would make some for their front window. I still have 4 more to do, but I must say I'm pretty happy with the way these 2 came out. They are both the smaller coffins I found at Micheal's, I think they're 4".
The one on the left is a "simple" coffin, the one on the right has a special surprise inside. Both are stained with Tim Holtz distress stains. I never knew about this stuff until recently! I LOVE EM'
Pretty simple. Awesome paper I found at the local overstock scrapbook store here (I love that place). The rose was with the 3D Haunted portrait stickers. Just thought it looked pretty.
The harlequin design goes all the way around
Originally we were both thinking about doing an actual liner, probably will eventually, but for now this will do
This one has a special surprise inside. I love these stickers. We have a few of the actual haunted portraits. Thought they would go well with the coffins
Back. I didn't do this on the simple, thought it might be too much
This border also goes all the way around.
And the surprise on the inside! Maybe grave robbers got to the other bits
I knew that the skeletons would not fit into the coffin whole, so I cut them up. I placed all the pieces in at first, but thought it was too busy. So I just chose bits and pieces.
