Here is the fascinating evil Kabuki mask pincushion made by alwaysinmyroom!  I love the tiny stitch detailing and paint shading.  Thank you so much, always!   Kiss

I think it needs to have a "clown" warning....brrrr...I thought it kind of looked like the evil clown from the Stephen King movie "IT"... Grin.

The shading is a watercolor pencil...it was an afterthought ,so I could not easily have used crayons to melt the wax...the base is a jar lid.

Smiley PS how DID you make the nest - im very intrigued!  Also Calabaza tells me this was one of her first stuffed animals!  It looks like it been made by a pro!! Wink

Oh, gosh, I'm so glad birdie is okay with you! I have maybe a 12% confidence level when it comes to softies that drops to 2% when sending to someone who knows something about them. I thought it was all right but I'm super happy you think so too!

For the nest I made a squat cylinder out of felt then stretched it into a more nest-y shape while sewing around and around it with twine and weaving more twine into the stitches. The button on the bottom helped a lot with shape too. It was kinda roly-poly before that.  Smiley

That mixer is very clever and I just love the bird in the nest.  I knew this would be a fun gallery and it's certainly proving to be so far.
