Popping in to say I eat that book pincushion! Ludi, did you use a pile of flesh or make it up yourself? Smiley

Wow!  What a cute scrappy dog and little basket.  And the butterfly stitching is ghoulish!

I eat the bookish butterfly pin cushion, notions keeper and needle keeper. Wow, a sewing kit in one? Fun concept and the embroidery is very special. Fun Fun!

Cute dog, and I eat the little basket (dog bed?)

Toy basket. But a little cute puppy sleeping there would have been adorable. Next time!

There were book pincushions on pinterest that inspired me, but I made up the pile of flesh myself.  Smiley  Thanks!

Oh, I do eat pincushion books! Nice one, Ludi!

When I got home from work yesterday this was waiting for me:

Isn't it cute?! Its maker, Ninaprettyballerina, said she calls it Dressing Alice 101! I eat all the details Nina put into this: the embroidered pinafore, the beaded hem and base accent (I am a sucker for beading) and the buttons. The pinafore even ties in the back!
I started using it right away by sticking pins in the soft bit above the dress. So nice to have pins up and out of stepping-range! But then Nina let me know a whole other world hidden in my new toy:

Okay, so it would be more impressive if the photo was clearer, but the base is magnetic! Yep, all I gotta do is drop pins toward the goal and they stick right there out of the unscheduled blood draw hazard zone! Another wonderful- not to mention incredibly useful -detail! Yay!

Thanks so much, Ninaprettyballerina! I hope you like yours even half as much I do mine!
