After looking everywhere for a reasonably priced necklace like this, I decided (as usual) to go the DIY route. I had a hard time finding these teardrop-shaped beads so I ended up buying them online. Since I could only find them in clear I also decided to paint them mint green with acrylic paints. A few steps later and this is what I made:

It looks really heavy, but I'm guessing the beads you painted are probably a pretty light weight plastic. The paint job looks great and really gives it a nice pop.

Thanks! Yeah, it looks like it could be heavy, but the beads are super light plastic. You could also do this same concept with less beads on each row. It's much more jingly than heavy, though!
