Have you tried this delicious French dessert called “Macaron”? If you love sweets I guarantee you will get addicted to this colorful sugary delight. It is super fancy and great for parties. I made mine Tiffany blue to match the baby boy shower theme. It was a hit at my party for sure!

These mini cookies are often sold in French bakery for $2-3 per piece (you are probably thinking is it really so expensive? No joke!!!). Luckily if you follow my easy recipe, you can make it yourself for a much cheaper price making it a lot more affordable. The ingredients can all be found in you local supermarket and with less than $20 you can make several batches (20 cookies/per batch)!

So this is my first time trying to make anything from scratch, I’m usually the box mix kinda girl (mainly due to laziness). But for my own baby shower, I decided to make it special. I look up “macaroon recipe” in Google and this is the first answer: Martha Stewart. It looked super easy so I gave it a trial run and it worked!

So here’s the original recipe link: http://www.marthastewart.com/275448/macaroon-recipes/@center/276956/cookie-recipes

And here’s my easier version plus extra tips:

Those look gorgeous!  The color is beautiful.  I LOVE macarons, and yes they are not cheap, so I will definitely have to give your recipe a try!
