The Mad Quilter
« on: September 03, 2013 09:14:26 AM »

I was on Pinterest hoarding photos of quilts for inspiration.  I clicked on one that brought me to Craftster...and then I spent a couple hours looking through finished quilts and looking at the lovely work.  It has been years since I've been on a message board, but I miss having friends who share common interests, so I decided to register and join in on the fun.

I grew up near Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and have always loved to look at quilts.  My family used to drive to Lancaster often and I would see the quilts that the Amish had made.  Then one day I married a guy whose mother was a quilter....and I got hooked.  My kids are all in school now, so I can get the housework finished during the day and spend my time working on quilts in the evening once they go to bed (yay!!!).

I currently have 4 or 5 quilt tops in various stages of "in progress" and have soo many more ideas for other quilts (darn you, Pinterest!!!).  I'm looking forward to meeting some new friends here and seeing some more fabulous quilts!

Thanks.  We leave for a week at the beach on Saturday, so I'm hoping to work on a couple of quilts while we are there. Smiley

I'm a little late, but welcome to Craftster! Smiley  I hope you got the chance to work on your quilts while at the beach.  (Crafting while on vacation is amazing!)
