I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'm putting it in here.

a couple days ago, I made this pretty bow headband out of some grosgrain ribbon, crepe-back satin and 1/2" elastic.  I had the fabric pre-sewn into a rectangle satin side out for about 3 or 4 years (I salvaged it from a skirt I made in skills canada in 12th grade) so all I really had to do was sew some straight lines to break up the strip and make it more bow like (2 rows of stitching) and added some ribbon around the center, added elastic to the ends of another piece of ribbon to make a headband and attached the bow to the headband.  Total working time took maybe 10 minutes. It's my new favourite bow.

Lovely bow! It looks so crisp & perfect with that dimple in both sides right at the knot. Great work!  Smiley

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to bows.  They have to be perfect or it will bug me all day.  Part of the reason why I don't wear shoes with laces all that often, if the bow isn't perfect I won't leave the house Tongue

It looks so professional! Really nicely done.
Thank you very much Smiley

Very pretty bow, love the material.

I really loved the material too.  I'm just a little sad by the pricing of it though.  I thankfully for this for free from a competition, but I really want to make more of these bows to sell.  I thought it was a little big at first, but it's grown on me ^_^
