I drilled some holes into cookie cutters to make this windchime:

I really like how the three sizes of cutter fall to sit inside each other like a little chandelier.
I do have to admit though, my drilling went a bit wonky, and in a couple of places the spacing between the holes isn't quite right. shoulda marked it, I guess, but.. well... I was excited to start and got carried away
Anyway , I used embroidery thread (my gran gave me a whoel pile that she had lost the tags for, so I didn't know what shade number or even make they were.... which is cool, but means I can't include them in my insanely OCD thread box, since it's all maker/number order... and these treads had been sitting over looked for awhile, I was really chuffed to use them!) to make the strings, and simply braided them. I hauled up my stash of broken jewellery bits and incorporated them along the threads - I tried to get a good even coverage of heights over all the threads. I finished each braid with the bigger beads, and in some cases earrings (mostly pairs where I've lost the other one)

It's a bit eclectic... and I have to admit that for a wind chime it doesn't really chime at all... but I kinda like that it's cheery and colourful Smiley

I'm always up for swapping hexies, felt badges,or TM patches (or anything, really!) - PM me Cheesy

Well I love it and am always wondering what to do with all the little bits and pieces of stuff I can't seem to help collection so I think this is a great project for that! Looks wonderful, very bright and cheery with lots of new detail to catch your eye each time you glance at it.

The bad news: There is no key to happiness.
The good news: It isn't locked.

I've got a bunch of chimes that would work great for something like this! ( I Love how it looks but i love the sound of chimes so i would add chimes to the bottom myself)
It is so pretty <3
