I LOVE this quote - so I knew I wanted to try out some simple embroidery to highlight it.
This is my first try embroidering paper - I backed it onto some iron-on dress lining stuff first to make sure it didn't rip. I really loved the feel and bend of it in my hands - I want to come up with a project that retains that in the final piece (this is backed onto a mini canvas so I can mount it on my wall.
Since it was my first go, and I wasn't sure what the paper would be able to stand up to, I kept it really simple, just back stitch, and quite big stitches to avoid too much perforation. But I think I'd be able to get away with LOTS more so my next paper project will be more ambitious I think Smiley

Thanks for looking!

Intriguing, I would never have thought to try that.  I LOVE "word" projects, so I definitely want to try this for myself!  Even though it's "simple", I think it's just lovely  Smiley
