I made this for myself.  I took a plain wooden box that was shaped like a book and made it look like River Song's journal. and when you open it up, it is a Doctor Who shrine.

I painted the exploding Tardis background but the Tardis itself is a 3-D cutout.

Very creative!  I love how you completely reinvented the wooden box---a plain, wooden box got a whole new lease on life.   Smiley

This is wonderful. It is fun to look at the items you chose and remember the episodes they came from. I love that you included the fob watch.

Love it! What did you use to make the raised pieces on the box?

After the Doctor, River is my favourite Doctor Who character, so I love this of course.

I happen to have that in my stash, as well as a book box. If you don't mind I think I may copy your idea, the outside portion the inside will be different of course. I just watched "Silent Library" last night (again). My Husband made a mistake of asking a very simple question about River and I launched into a long tangent about her and the doctor. I got a look and "I didn't need to know all that" statement, lol.

Love it!  Not far enough into the series to know exactly what it is but it's still AWESOME!  Donna is still his companion in the series as far as I'm concerned!  I really need to start watching it more often.

This is so neat! You did a great job with all of the details. I can think of a lot of other themes that you could do with this technique.
