I'm off to a surprise birthday party pie fight today, so whipped this up as a commemorative gift.  I pretty much winged it, but did use the Pi Kitty Bed and Knitty's Boobie Scarf patterns as a springboard. Smiley

There are some more pics on my blog at http://www.crumpart.net/blog/?p=40

I think this is one of my favorite things about Craftster.  Someone will post a sentence like:
I'm off to a surprise birthday party pie fight today, so whipped this up as a commemorative gift.
as if it's the same as whipping up a batch of cookies from a pre-mixed tube.  (did that make sense?  you know what I mean, right?)

Anyway, I love the pie!  and I love that your jumping off points were a cat bed and a boobie scarf...  Nice!

It was received very well -- the recipient is also a knitter/crafter, so I know that effort is never lost on her, and there was much squashing of the pie in people's faces at the party, small children and adults alike. Smiley

:(Only If I could make such a realistic knited pie of food like that. I might hav to try and make something like that. Are you planning on sharing a pattern for it. Opps theres the link. I need to go ahead and get use to doulble pointed needles. all the really nice stuff seems to request it.

Double pointed needles really aren't that scary!  They just take a few goes to get used to, and you're laughing.  Plus, everybody thinks you're really clever when they see you knitting in public -- always a plus. Wink
