I received this card from rockingbearranch. She used a lego stamp she made.

Thank you!

Organizer note: Please be sure to post pictures of the cards you receive! We love seeing the work done and it's a nice little shout out to those who have created these mini works of art!

I got this green Texas card from JillHogan. The shape of the raised letters reminds me of the old license plates.

vincentvanbuck made this for my fabric theme. He must have read up on my tastes a bit cuz the turquoise throughout is my absolutely favorite color. I love the combo of this whole thing.
back -

it is actually an  envelope with a stiffener inside. love it!
He made it due to the fact that he was not happy with the outcome of his original idea which is this..

As with every package I get, I tear it open and do not 'read the instructions' but just dive headfirst into the goodies. This was the first thing I saw. Tears came to my eyes and I cannot post what I said due to the fact that there may be young readers present, but to see the Scottish flag and know that someone made it just for me was, well, extremely heartening on a very bad day.
I understand why vincentvanbuck was not pleased with the outcome, as he is just now getting into sewing, but to me this card is precious. it is also an envie, with an inner stiffener.
Thank you, vincentvanbuck. well done!

This is my artist choice theme from Blupaisan. Be prepared to have your socks blown off!

"The Emperor's new clothes"

But wait... that bathrobe looks a little bit wonky...

What?!? Who knew he was into that kind of stuff? But wait... there is more!

Emperor Borat!!! Seriously, I laughed so hard at this point!

And, one in all his glory:

And, finally, the whole set together:

Amazing card, blu! I just love your imagination Smiley
(btw, I wasn't the only one playing with the Emperor here last night.. hubby couldn't
leave him alone either! *grins* )

And, I was lucky to receive from Vincentvanbuck as well!
I think it's awesome that you send us all your try runs as well vince,
it's a great way to see your process and how you think. Plus, those cards might
be "failed" experiments in your eyes, but to me they are pieces of art!
(I love the scottish flag you sent  to blu! )

Ok. Back to the cards. We started talking about classic videogames,
and vincentvanbuck decided to make me my favourite characters from
one of my all time favourite games: FF6. Here are Terra and Locke:

I added the thumbnail, so you can see the figures better. It's like a Lichtenstein, if you're too close, you won't see what it is.

Terra was an experiment using watercolour pencils, and I love it!  Abstract, but I still see her in there Smiley
Both of them made with perlerbead patterns. Very cool stuff. I love 'em, vince!

Oh mah GAWSH blu!!! The Emperor is flipping amazing, he got added to my Pinterest in seconds.  What kind of plastic did you use for the costume "screens", and what sort of paint is that on there?

I'm glad you liked the cards, kosmicgirl!  Thanks so much for adding the thumbnail. (I'm especially pleased with the way Terra looks in it!  Cheesy )

The costume cards are made from old transparency film from the overhead projector days and the paint is just watercolor. I warned kosmicgirl to handle them carefully, as I did not have faith that the paint would remain intact if handled much. A first-time experiment for me. I want to do it some more!
