My little girl loves reading. Often after she has been put to bed, we we'll find her staying up to read. Because of this she often has books spread across her room. To give her a place to keep her books I made a strip of felt that tucks under her mattress on one end and has a little pocket hanging down under her pillows.

Here it is empty.

And here it is holding her diary and six books.

I got the idea from the blog B. Jane brewing.

What a cute idea and so adorable for your girl!

I'd use something like this for my kindle, magazines and remotes!

Thanks guys. Such an easy project. Just a strip of felt that you fold up on one end. For a twin, you can just use the bolt width (if you got the 72 inch wide felt).

You can also add a pocket for eyeglasses. Such a versatile handy item.

It's not a mistake. It's...um...a design feature.

Brilliant!  I'm going to make one of these for my bed AND the kids' beds.  I made something similar a year or so ago for the couch and remotes.
