I ordered a copy of one of my favorite books from AbeBooks, and they sent a copy which is over 100 years old!   Shocked

I love old books, especially from the turn of the previous century. Smiley  They're usually high quality.  Books from the war periods, especially WWII, aren't as high quality because paper was in short supply.  I have one which bears a disclaimer about how small the volume is because of the paper shortage.

I am excited to figure out what to send my partner.  I have to rethink what I originally had in mind. I had an assortment of Stephen King I wanted to share,  but she doesn't like scary. ..
I'm also hoping she won't be disappointed in me.  I can't sew to save my soul and her request was a sewn item.  This is going to take some thought. Hmmmmmmmm....

Hi beeker! I think we're partners  Cheesy
Scary is a relative term... I read the Girl who loved Tom Gordon, and really enjoyed it, but I wouldn't want to read something like Friday the 13th... So I guess I like psychologically scary, but not slasher scary? I love trying new things, so please don't let the "scary" note scare you off!

I'm super excited, I think I know what I'll be sending to you... just have to make up my mind for sure!
