I've been making a whole bunch of pottery lately and I wanted to share some of it with you all. Smiley I would love to know which one is your favorite.

Yarn bowls! I love the way the glaze on the turquoise one came out. It has a slight ombre effect from top to bottom.

Feather mugs. I've been doing a lot of sgraffito, which is a fancy way of saying scratching. Wink It's where you paint a colored material (underglaze in this case) on top of the clay and then scratch through it to reveal the color of the clay underneath.

Doily bowls. I made these using paper doilies as stencils. I love the contrast between this particular blue and the white clay.

Winter tree mugs. I'm originally from Southern California and we didn't have winters. Not really. So when I moved to Tennessee, I was really struck by the way the bare tree branches look against the bright blue sky. So I made these mugs. Smiley They started out much bigger but I was trying out porcelain and they shrank way more than I was expecting!

Goldfish pots. These are sort of multi-use little pots. They're about the size of a cereal bowl. More sgraffito. Cheesy

Thank you! I learned how to throw pottery in college. I took a few semesters of ceramics and I just loved it. But then I took a break for about 10 years and I didn't get serious about it again until last fall. I found an awesome ceramics studio in town and I started taking classes and I fell in love with it all over again. Now I rent out studio space from them. Smiley

I absolutely encourage you to try sgraffito! If you like to draw, you'll really enjoy it. Smiley

Very, very cool!  I knew the instant I saw them that the yarn bowls would be my favorites, and then I scrolled down and saw the feather mugs.  It was a Whoa,...WHOA moment.  They all rock!  Really, I can't decide between the yarn bowls and the feather mugs, I wan them both, and in fact may have to pin them both.   Wink

As the proud owner of one of the lovely yarn bowls, I will attest that they are functional as well as being lovely to look at...when not used for my current ball of yarn, I use it to hold my needles, pins and floss for my Dr. Who embroideries...I will warn you that the yarn coming out of the nice little swirl does not deter the cats from playing with the yarn...they love to stick their paws in the yarn loop of the bowl! Extremely well done. They are all wonderful, but I think my favorites are the yarn bowls (racky's right...the simplicity of the design is pleasing) and the doily bowls. I really love the blue/white contrast.
And congrats on your Etsy shop!

As so many others have said - it is so hard to pick a favourite. I love the colour on the tarn bowls, but mugs with winter trees are beautiful, too - both the decoration and their form. But then there are the goldfish bowls - so lovely - and... and...

It's hard to pick a favorite. I love the shape and line of the yarn bowls (and the depth of color on the green one). But I love the motif on the tree mugs, but I think the fish bowls are my favorite because I'm a Pisces, so I have a thing for fishes, and the sgrafitto work is stellar!
