I made my daughter a magic wand using a dowel and a pom pom, but clearly I don't have it attached very well.
Any ideas as to how to best attach a pom pom to the end of a dowel?

Could you drill a hole through the dowel and tie it on?  The hole would be hidden by the pompom and you could lose the thread ends in the pom pom itself.
