The Hillsborough County Arts Council has a great fundraising event that I participated in last year (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=416164.msg4921074#msg4921074).

Participants create 5"x5"(x5") (http://fivebyfivetampabay.com/) pieces of art that are sold anonymously for $25. They can be sculptures, pictures, mosaics... Whatever. It just has to fit in a 5"x5"(x5") square(or cube).

I'm participating again this year. I've been on a painting kick, so this year I did two paintings. Both are based on photos that I took. The stairs were the winding staircase where I was staying on a recent trip to Amsterdam. The flower was from a cactus in my back yard.

I hope you enjoy! Smiley (Sorry the picture is a little dark. The color is still mostly good though.)

These are great, I really like the stairs-totally reminds me of Amsterdam!

Your event sounds so fun, I really like the idea of the varied pieces of art (I may have to steal this idea for my own council Wink )
