Thanks! I wish I were keeping this for myself, but it's going to someone with better knitting skills. I can't wait to see what it is made into. There's 223 yards of it so it will make a hat or mittens, something like that.

Thanks so much fot the tutorial and all the wonderful helpful posts.

This is so easy everyone should try it.

Oh, and it's Patons wool - I think I had a finger slip there.

ooh! also I got like 80 packets of Kool Aid because it was 20 for $1. The sale is going on this week still so if anyone is out of the states and wants a deal on kool aid (why do I feel like some kind of drug dealer?) pm me and we can work something out.

I dyed some yarn the day before yesterday. from left to right they are

Rookie is food coloring on white Brown Sheep worsted, and Volcano is also food coloring on fisherman's. from here on out all the yarns are dyed with dupont silk dyes.

first is Berry Pie on Marr Haven Merino/rambulloute blend, then Berry Pie on Blue Faced Liecester, then A MidSummer's Night on dk cream Alpaca, then Black Velvet a dark purple colorway on charcoal grey farm yarn, and last Dandelion Fields on Malabrigio bulky Merino

I LOVE dying yarn so very much. i need to upload the other pics i took of A midsummer's night, it has blue and green on the other side.

First this is my felted scarf, that I just straight food colored dyed. No vinegar.

Now this is what I Kool-aid dyed this afternoon.

A skein of peach with a medium brown in the middle.
The middle one was my favorite... different purples and pinks.
A light pink one on the far right.
