YARN DYEING 101 - KOOL AID

Here's a color chart I found that might be useful:

However, I can't find Raspberry Kool Aid on it. So does anybody know, or even better, can photograph, some yarn dyed with this flavor? thanks!

I don't have anything dyed w/Raspberry, but I can tell you that the colours are a little darker than they show on (at least my) monitor. The black cherry was a nice maroonish colour, not the bright red that shows on the chart. I'd reccomend doing a test swatch to find out exactly what colour you'll end up with.

This is the result of my first kool aid dying.......I sadly, I forgot to take a picture of the pouch I knit from it.  Maybe dixie_terror will post a pic when she gets it!  The picture is a bit dark and doesn't do the colors justice they are beautiful and bright!

i'm working on a mohair sweater that is 63% mohair 17% wool and 20% nylon

could i still dye it when i'm finished?

I dyed this scarf I crocheted which I am guessing is wool (my friend just sent me the yarn)? Anyway, I dip dyed it with Cherry Koolaid and this is the effect I got.

I think I might be addicted to kool aid dying.  Lime and cherry are my new favorites.

This might already have been asked but I didn't see it anywhere, would the wool still felt after kool aid dyeing?

i've done it before, only it was a pain in the ass to felt afterwards.
just make sure to NOT boil the water (it'll felt the wool) or stir too much (agitation helps in the felting process)

Here’s the result of my first kool-aid dyeing, there are a few white spots but overall I think it turned out alright
