wow Keletubbie.. your a sock-a-holic..!!! I luv how the stripes worked out in your yarn and all the socks u knit are awesome..(I peeked at your blog..)

Thanks!

I actually am losing my love of sock knitting but lots of poeple seem to want them for Christmas so I'll soldier on...

And second to the link on dyeing self-striping wool. I personally am too lazy for the measuring and generally just stretch the skein out to the length of the flat and go for it.

Awsome, does the kool-aid bleed out when you hand wash it?
I have never had my kool-aid bleed, as long as i rinsed really well after the dye was set.  To be safe you can always toss a capfull of vinigar in the first time you hand wash.

This yarn (Patons Classic Merino) was dyed with 2 packets of Orange and 2 Packets of Blue Raspberry lemonaide.  Half the Skein was blue and the other half was orange to knit up in every row stripes.

Did I mention that this is my first knit sock EVER!  I'm super proud of it.  I just need to make another one....

That is an awesome sock!!!!!  And your stripes look great!  Now sit down and get that other sock casted on, or else it will never get done.  Believe me!

Here is another self-striping Jaywalker sock (in progress).

I used Eunny's tutorial and Wilton's Icing dyes. So much fun!!  Thanks for all of the inspiration, ladies!

Having dye on your hands adds character. (Thats what I think.)

Awesome socks, as I have yet to learn how to knit those.  Grin
