Hi Guys,

I've almost completed a recent project and there are a few parts where I could do with getting the red iron-on transfer pencil to fade.

I'm planning on giving it a wash and hoping that'll help, it has faded a little in the past, but didn't know if anyone had any other suggestions or tips for me to try out.

Please let me know if you have any advice.

Thanks,

Libby Huh

A wash would probably work at at least fading it out, it looks pretty light right now so I am betting you could get most of it out. . In the past I have used a bleach pen with a fine tip to get out certain areas.

Thanks for the speedy reply - much appreciated.

Stuck it in the washing machine when I finished and it all washed out a treat. Turned out better than I expected! Smiley

What a great piece! I'm so glad the pencil came out, I've had a hard time with those red pencils staining fabric, as a result, I don't use them anymore  Undecided

Thanks for your nice words, guys!

I haven't embroidered anything for a couple of months, and this project was a last minute idea for my brother's 30th birthday. I was really pleased with how it turned out - so glad the red washed out so well in the end.
