This is my first ever rag quilt and I couldn't be happier  Cheesy I used up a lot of my flannel stash to make it. Each section has three layers; the back is either an old sheet or cotton fabric, the middle is flannel, and the top is more flannel. I kept the front flannel and the back cotton/sheets, except for the border which is the opposite so each side looks more finished  Smiley I wanted the flannel side to look as random as possible so each strip is made with multiple colors/patterns. But the back is done with long strips that are the same fabric from end to end, then shuffled around a bit.

Here's the front:

And corner close-up:

The blanket is big enough to wrap around me and makes for the perfect movie cuddle blanket  Smiley Thanks for looking!  Cheesy

Scholars and artists...differ most importantly in the way their knowledge is come by.  Scholars get theirs with conscientious thoroughness along projected lines of logic; poets...stick to nothing deliberately, but let what will stick to them like burrs where they walk in the fields.

Great use of scraps, both sides are lovely.  I especially like the muted colours of the back side.
