Ps- Sorry about  the seemingly random nature of my posts. I am not involved in any other online communities and since we are all nerds here, I figured someone might know Smiley

I haven't been to a con in decades, but as a socially anxious person, I think you can still have fun even if you go alone, especially if you're in costume!  I think wearing a different costume each day is a great idea.  If you can channel the characters, you might even be able to make some new friends.  Smiley

One safety note for women alone:  Lately at cons there has apparently been a bad rash of rude and grabby male behavior toward females in perceived "sexy" costumes, so, to avoid the possibility of such, you might choose less revealing options.

Thanks, guys!  The black ones are from Ikea, but they are going in the room, too (probably).  The other color I am painting them is not in the photo...it's a bright jewel blue color.

Hey, guess what, craftADDchick?!  Thanks to you mentioning your CSA, I looked up some local farms and just signed up for one, too!  Grin  I can't wait for all the organic deliciousness!  Thanks!

I can't wait to see all of the colors together in the room! And, hooray on the CSA! I'm sharing a small box, but each week, when we divide things up, I'm sorry to see some things go. My brain says, "But I can make a salad, or I can pickle those!" I think that next year, I might have to have a small box all for myself Smiley  I wonder if there is a "recipe-along" for CSA shares? Cheesy

pishaw13, take care of that foot! You want it to properly heal (and it's really okay if your research project takes longer Grin ).

I am plugging away on my Research Project. Although, nobody but me would notice a difference Smiley I had to purchase a bunch of plastic bins (I swear I should buy stock in Sterilite) to use for storage. I am washing anything that can be washed before I store them (and washing the bins, too). I am going to have the worst case of dishpan hands by the time I'm done Smiley But, it'll be worth it if I can get it organized!

Tomorrow, I will be cleaning out the fridge... which means I'll be doing some cooking, too!

I finished my stove  today! And it looks pretty alright. It's not gonna win any beauty pageants, but I think it's much better than before. I need to be a real human and apply for jobs tomorrow, but maybe if I get that done in the morning I can start to tackle the floor. It should only take about two days, but I'm so nervous. I just can't wait to  you all to see the finished product! I'm feeling pretty proud  of  it so far!

Finally making some decent progress on my Research Project.  It is being challenging to figure out the proper order of steps in construction...(that's one of my recurring bugaboos... Tongue)

Ludi and pishaw13, great job on progress with the research projects! I'm making progress, but in tiny increments. I have a big step to do (starting Friday, I think), and it'll make all of the tiny steps worth it Smiley

I just realized that one of the projects I was going to do was for the 100 Objects Craftster Challenge and the deadline is today. I thought it was tomorrow...which means now I don't have to rush because I have until the end of August Smiley

I'm back from vacation! I managed to complete a couple of prompts while I was camping, and I finished a few of the houses for my research project! I have Joker, the hospital and Riddler all finished, and I've sketched out Harley Quinn and Two Face's houses. I found some old dress pants to use for the roads so I'm probably going to cut those up later, they are the perfect shade of grey.
