Battle/Challenge:  November - myths
Team: Wordy!
Bonus Points: none
Project Name: Pygryphyn
Project Thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=429369
Brief Description:  I made this fake taxidermy critter for artista83 in a personal swap.  It is inspired by the mythical hippogriff, a combination of a horse and a griffin, but in this case it is a pig (back feet), a parrot (head) and a pheasant (front legs). Oh, and a chicken (feathers)!

Whew, glad the battle appears to be open for a bit more! Just finished submitting a couple more projects. Now to catch up some on commenting!

Ludi, you take the cake! You take a whole bakery worth of cakes! Whoa!  Shocked

Eiseldora: Nice dress! I'm very interested in your yeast experiment as well. Do you have any good resources to point me at in order to learn more? And how does you ketchup taste? I love ketchup! It forms the base of my food pyramid  Smiley

Smeddley: What a lovely hoop! The Quaken one, too, is priceless!

LovelyMiss: Beautiful wash sampler! Your necklace is so sweet and I really like your reusable santa hat gift tag idea. I may have to...appropriate it  Grin

Battle/Challenge: September- Periodic Table
Team: Textbook
Bonus Points: n/a
Project Name: Peanut Butter & Banana Granola
Project Page Link (if available): Recipe from: http://foodinjars.com/2013/10/peanut-butter-banana-granola/
Brief Description: Bananas are supposed to be high in Potassium (K), so when I ran across the recipe on the Food in Jars site, I knew I had to give this granola a try. I don't know how long I actually cooked it for (I cooked it at 325 for between 30 minutes to an hour), but I used 3 smaller bananas, so it was a little bit more moist than I expected. But, it is delicious! I filled the jar, and had about a half a cup left, so I poured it in a bowl and added a splash of milk. So yummy! I'll be eating this with yogurt in the days ahead... Then, I might give a pumpkin version a try...

Battle/Challenge: October- Bottom's Up!
Team: Textbook
Bonus Points: n/a
Project Name: Nesquik Brownies
Project Page Link (if available): Recipe from: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=195168.0#axzz2mGat5qPK
Brief Description: Growing up, I loved coffee milk and chocolate milk, and when trying to decide which one to choose, I remembered that I had the recipe for Nesquik Brownies bookmarked (I planned to make them once before, but I drank a whole lot of chocolate milk...), and so that's what I made. Instead of nuts, I used peanut butter chips. They are super moist and delicious!

OMG...did you have a thread left from this??? What a wonderful hoop. Can you still count 10 fingers?
What a wonderful piece of art. Very nice. I love the quote, too. And that eye is really getting into my soul.
