I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Well, despite being unable to move my neck at all, I am so incredibly close to being finished. I feel like Dr. Frankenstein, hovering over his creation; is that going to work? I hate being my own critic.

I guess I'm pretty boring because I'm not very superstitious at all.  I may knock on wood on occasion, but it's mostly just a cultural thing I guess, I don't actually believe it makes a difference.  I guess I'm more of a skeptic.

I finally have a design in mind, and I'm going to have to craft like a maniac to get this out on time.  Especially considering that I'll probably have only two days off from now till send outs.  Eep!

Whaaaat?  Gormenghast was a BBC miniseries???  Hm.  I am both surprised and not surprised.

Yeah, back in 2000.  Pretty much all of the spookiness was removed and the characters normalized practically to unrecognizability, especially the weirdest ones.  No winding darkness, no strange laughter.  The more violent or icky parts sanitized, etc etc.  My chagrin about it inspired me to do a bunch of fanarts which you can see in my deviantart gallery.  Smiley

(This is on-topic because both "vintage" and "spooky" subject matter!   Cheesy )

Well, I put it on hold at the library anyway.

Superstitions: Knocking on wood (or particle board), making a wish when driving under a bridge that is being crossed by a train, picking up only heads up pennies and putting them in my shoe, karma/pif, saying "jinx" afterward when myself and another person say the same word at the same time.
I used to be much more superstitious, but I decided that it was producing too much fear for me.  Since it's been raining here, I've had an umbrella everywhere.  There's a little nudge in the back of my mind about umbrellas indoors, but I would rather have a dry son and dry hair.  Back when I worked retail and broken mirrors would come up to be defected out I would comment, "Well, someone has seven years bad luck." Then we'd chortle.

Wow, it's getting late so my writing might not be the best and/or cohesive.

P.S.  This was an excellent question of the week---very interesting to read the answers.

I spent 6-8 hours on Saturday working on my craft.  I made a lot of headway.  Thanks to my hubby for watching the boy all day.

Definitely worth seeing if you've read the books.  I don't like much of it but I'm glad it finally got made.  Smiley

Back to superstitions, both my husband and I are quite superstitious about Murphy, as in Murphy's Law "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."  We have a superstitious fear about predicting good outcomes outloud, as in "nothing could go wrong now!"  Which may invoke the wrath of the god Murphy, who will make sure something does go wrong.   Tongue

Also, if I am watching my favorite sports team, I will not watch the entire game because I think it will jinx them. I watch five minutes at a time. Grin

I am a SERIOUS Denver Broncos fan, and I am only able to wear my jersey until halftime.  Then, during the second half, my boys turn it around and kick some major @$$.  Yes, I really believe that if I wear my jersey throughout the entire game, they are DOOMED.

I also am pretty OCD...symmetry is my thing.  If I touch something with one hand, I HAVE to touch it with the other....I even measure my rug, coffee table, and couch to ensure they are all centered.
