I spend a lot of time at the neighbors' carving pumpkins. They have a massive display. This past year I have kept my Christmas tree up year round and have been decorating it for the different seasons. It is festive and helps fill up my living room that has a major lack of furniture. Divorce helped me cut down on unneccessary clutter in my life like a couch or chairs...  Roll Eyes

Since everyone is pitching their decorating locations, I want to decorate everywhere! Someday I want to have that house that the whole neighborhood talks about! Though maybe I should beef up my indoor stock while I'm in a rental, hmmm. Super stoked for this. Smiley

I would love to live in your neighborhood!

I think we are the only house in our neighborhood that decorates for Halloween...hubby loves to carve the biggest pumpkin we can find...after all the trick or treating is done, we have a tradition of tossing it over our ravine to see if it will roll all the way down to the creek (never happened yet...)...Grin

We also do the witch legs in our iron cauldron in front...

Halloween stripey socks should soon be hitting Joann's and the Dollar stores...Grin

I used a old mop or broom handle and a pair of boots that hurt my feet...I also set a corn broom next to it, but it does not show in the picture...the kids love it! ha ha

That is so clever! I pinned a wreath that was made with Styrofoam balls and striped stockings.

omg I love those witch legs!!
I live in a studio apt on the 3rd floor without a porch so I don't get to do much outdoor decorating.  I do put purple, green & orange lights around my windows on the inside that can be seen from outside too though.
Inside I decorate A LOT!  I even bought myself a little black "Halloween tree" last year that I like to decorate now.
One of my favorite things to do at Halloween is crave jack o lanterns.  My friends always have a hugely awesome Halloween party.  Last year though was Hurricane Sandy and they didn't get power back until the day before the party so needless to say it was cancelled.  We were supposed to have a pumpkin carving contest and I had the best idea planned...I hope we do the contest this year!

I love it when people post their carved pumpkins...it is amazing how much work some of them are!

We are getting new huge windows on our house in October...I would love to do one of those epic silhouettes of a haunted house or something for the windows!
