Hi, I've recently retired and I've decided to try pebble painting to make Christmas gifts for the family. However I can't find a way to varnish the finished pebble that doesn't cause the writing on them to run, I've tried both paint on and spray on clear varnish, but neither work. Has anybody got any advice please?

What do you use to write on them?

When in doubt, use more glue!
