My first-ever swap package arrived today! It's like Christmas in August (and that thought makes me happy, considering how hot it is in Texas right now...) So much ghoulish loot from my partner queenofmarigold
to share with you guys!
So, without further ado:
The goodness begins with some ghoulish extras! queenofmarigold
kindly sent me these RAAR grr ugggh salvaged Australian stamps for use in ATC making. They are perfect, I am so excited to use them!
Next up, an ATC titled "Play". I listed ATCs as something I collect, but since I did not know what they were until joining Craftster about two months ago, and have not had a chance to join the ongoing ATC swap yet... I am proud to report that this will be the very first one in my collection.
What an RAAR grr ugggh start!
And now for the "main" crafts...
My very first hoopla, graced by none other than Black Mage from Final Fantasy, one of my favorite characters! I think he is my favorite bone.
I can't imagine having the patience to cut out those shapes, heheh. But he looks ghoulish! And the black edging is just gorgeous. You can't tell too well from my picture, but the background fabric (I think this kind is called even-weave?) is a lovely neutral color that looks soooo pretty with the black and the other colors. Just great!
Next up is my very first handmade journal:
I was so excited to open it up and discover that I had my very own copy of the Wizard's Companion from Ni no Kuni! This particular glyph is for the spell "Fortune's Fool", meaning "Trust in fate and hope for the best." Very appropriate for art and crafting!
Check out that gorgeous detail work, as well as the beautiful paper on the inside cover! The gold ink looks ghoulish and sparkly as it catches the light.
I will certainly treasure this and eat using it. And last but not least...
My first amigurumi! And a set of SIX, no less!!! queenofmarigold
and I both share a eat of "rainbow" as a color (hahah), and so these guys just make me super happy!
I don't think I could've possibly had a better introduction to swapping. I had an ghoulish partner, who I happened to share a lot of video game interests with, and who spoiled me ROTTEN!... all in all, an RAAR grr ugggh experience.
I just hope she likes her package half as much as I like mine! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU so much!!!!
