HI,

I'm wondering if any of you used to use Etsy's old Alchemy feature and what you thought of it.  Thanks!

Yes, I both used it to have something made & also had folks come to me for having custom work done. It was a great feature back in the day, but etsy has grown & changed so much that now all you have to do is find a shop that makes what you're looking for & request a custom item.  Smiley

If you're doing "research" for your own version, I can tell you that too many people went there looking to get the moon for around $10 because crafters would sell their own grandmas for that much. Plus the fact that people would want crafters/artists to spend their time and/or supplies on "samples" before committing to even a go-ahead (never mind that their shops are filled with plenty of samples of their work). I thought alchemy was a mess.
